Could you do with some support?
At times, life can take its toll on your health and well-being. Or perhaps you're worried about someone you know. Whilst at University, you may have to deal with something that is more difficult to cope with than anything else that is going on in your life. Students seek advice and support in many situations, such as:
- I'm feeling homesick and want to leave University
- I'm worried about my friend who is taking drugs
- My partner is violent towards me and I want to get out of the relationship
- My housemate seems really down and doesn't get out of bed most days
- I don't get on with anyone and feel alone
- My friend slept with a stranger last night and is worried she may be pregnant
Some things are difficult to deal with on your own. Try to talk to someone, especially at times when you feel you cannot cope.
If you ever need to talk to someone or have any concerns regarding your own or someone else’s welfare and don't know where to go, contact the RUSU Student Advice Service and ask to speak to a Student Advisor.
Life changes and other pressures can have a major impact on your health and well-being so make you sure take care of yourself during your time at University.
