Sports... Societies... Volunteering... Freebies... and so much more!
Our Fayres are big and not to be missed in the Welcome Week calendar... so big that we have to run it over three days. It is the best opportunity to discover what's on offer at the University and locally. RUSU sports clubs, societies, media and volunteer groups will all be there as well as a whole host of commercial companies and charities. Come to the Fayres and chat to the students that run RUSU's sports clubs and societies, find out what they're about and ask any questions.
Really keen? Can’t wait? You can even join sports clubs and societies online, in advance. You will need to register on the RUSU website. Once you have enrolled in September you can log in with your University details.
11.00am - 4.00pm on Tuesday 22nd
To kick start Welcome Week, come along to our Volunteering Fayre. All RUSU’s student led volunteer projects will be attending as well as local and national organisations looking to sign more volunteers up for the academic year. A wide range of voluntary opportunities will be on offer from wildlife and conservation projects to local charities volunteering with children and the elderly. Whether you can spare just a few hours here and there or are looking to really get stuck in, there will be something for everyone.

The Jewish Society will have a stall at the Volunteering Fayre.

We have over 50 different sports clubs including football, rugby, netball and hockey who compete in the South East divisions of BUCS, the university sports leagues, plus a huge number of others that compete in different leagues/competitions. If you are looking for something recreational why not join road cycling, go climbing with mountaineering club or diving with sub aqua.
Take a look at our sports pages for more detailed information on all our clubs.
