As a result of our affiliation with the National Union of Students (NUS), University of Reading students are eligible to obtain an NUSextra card, giving you great discounts on high street and online outlets.

The NUSextra card offers a huge amount of great discounts on products and services. With your NUSextra card you can also get discounted tickets to Students' Union events.
If you’re an international student or frequently travel abroad you can also integrate the NUSextra with the International Student Identity Card (ISIC). The ISIC allows you to access loads of travel and international discounts.
Avoid the queues and buy your NUSextra card online, before you arrive at the uni. All you need to do then is to visit the Students’ Union to pick up your card from Freshers’ week onwards. You’ll receive an email from us when your card is ready for collection.
Alternatively, you can pop into the Students’ Union during Freshers’ week. You will need your student ID or some other form of proof that you are attending the University of Reading. The cards will be printed as you wait.
An NUSextra card is just £11.00 and only £12.99 for a combined NUSextra/ISIC Card, which you’ll quickly make back on the discounts!
If purchasing online you’ll need to use a credit or debit card. If purchasing your card from the Union you can pay by cash or credit/debit cards.
