What is a Student Trustee?
A Student Trustee sits on the RUSU Trustee Board and is responsible for representing the views of the student body, and contributing to the strategic direction of the Students' Union.
Why Vote Pendlebury?
I feel I can play a key role in representing student views on the trustee board through drawing on the experience and responsibilities I have gained through being station manager of Junction11.
I have to remain extremely organised and diligent, and feel that I am a very accessible and approachable figure. I am confident and friendly figure and am regularly found around the HUB and Union building, making me an ideal point of contact for students
I will endeavour to achieve better representation of student views by student trustees. It's key not just to be accessible but also known to students so they know who to be approached. Both these aims combine to create my ultimate target of improving the contact between RUSU and Reading students. The union should be aware of student view. An accessible and known student trustee would be the way to achieve this.
If I'm elected I will be able to provide a true student view to the trustee board, as well as being a reliable, organised and enthusiastic candidate.
What experience do I have?
