Manifesto

I am James Nelson a part 2 Rural Management student. I am running for the post of student trustee. The post entails as a voice for the opinions and thoughts of you, the RUSU membership. The Board meets six times a year to discuss how RUSU is being run. As a trustee I will ensure that opinions and thoughts of all students will be heard and that all concerns will be raised.

I have wide ranging experience in liaising student views at all levels, through my active membership of the:

• School of Agriculture Policy and Development staff student committee
• Joint faculty of science and life science academic committee
• Staff student undergraduate forum

During my time on these committees I have raised academic issues concerning students and have raised other concerns such as safety and security on campus.

As a student trustee I will ensure that RUSU is open and accountable to the students and the student voice is heard and represented.
