Me again on your ballot paper (well screen) how exciting for you! So why do I want your No. 1 vote again... well.The annual NUS conference is the most important date in the nations student unions' calendars (even if their not affiliated) as it decides the next years executive, sets the all important policy and sends a clear message to the public, the government and the world of what students are about and what they not only want but deserve.

Fair treatment for mature students, no platform for racists in Unions, equal access to education for those from poor back grounds, ethical financial and business practices and freedom from harassment and prejudice for disabled, gay and lesbian people, ethnic minorities and those of all religions and none. Yes that is an impossible task for a body to achieve - but what's wrong with trying ? at least you'll start creating a better world while your at it.

I have attended and spoke at similar conferences in my role as a young trade union activist and as a member of a political party. I have the confidence and ability to speak out on your behalf, to articulate Reading's position and place in the NUS and vote in a way that reflects your views and Readings best interests. Please give me your number 1 vote this week.
