Manifesto
Having been the President of St Patricks Hall in this, my second year, I have learnt a lot about life at the University of Reading.I have been in contact with Wardens, Hall Management as well as the Sabbatical Officers within RUSU, broadening my knowledge to the diversity that is in abundance at the University. It has also given me experience of reading and adhering to constitutions, ensuring that in my role as student trustee, the Union complies with it's constitution and pursues it's objectives as an organisation.
My involvement in the Drama society and Gospel Choir has allowed me to take part in another aspect of University life, socialising with a range of students from first year to postgraduates.
Working behind the bar as a member of the RUSU bar staff has been another great opportunity to make contacts throughout the University student body, as well as teaching me a great deal about communication and working under pressure!
Throughout the year I have made myself accessible either through email, Facebook or in person to all the residents of St Pats, and would continue along this path in my role as Student Trustee, representing the student body to the best of my ability.
Ultimately I have LOVED my time at Reading thus far, and it would be an honour to be part of the Union that has made so many of my brilliant memories possible!
Three Main Points
- To communicate the student body's opinions clearly
- To challenge the decisions of others in an honest and effective manner
- To be easily accessible to those who want to make their thoughts known
