Manifesto

 The need

• BETTER ASSESSMENT
  We need stronger feedback and prompt return on assignments.
  I will fight for the right to have our work returned to a deadline. Two weeks to return the assignment shall be made our mandate, and when the papers come back, they need to provide informed & constructive criticism. We need comments that will improve our understanding.

• LONGER LIBRARY HOURS
  The place & space to research & study in silence.
  RUSU is campaigning for longer library opening house. I will champion this right to read and research during those most valuable hours; extending opening to evening and weekends.

• DE-STRESS CAMPAIGN
  You are here to stretch yourself, not stress yourself.
  We all occasionally feel stressed at university but pressure pushes some students to exhaustion, depression and even self-harm.
  I want to run a campaign on how students can de-stress on a day-to-day basis and to offer advice for when stress become unmanageable.
  Happier students undoubtedly lead to better degrees.
  

The opportunity

I have the commitment and capability to achieve these goals, as my experience with being an Education Rep demonstrates. Many of you will know me from my job at RUSU, the Drama society and through my voluntary work. I like to listen to people as well as being prepared to speak out. I believe that I have the energy and the expertise to bring these results home. I hope you do too.
