A trustee's responsibilities include:

Ensuring the Union complies with its constitution and pursues its objectives as an organisation

To contribute to the Trustee Board giving strategic direction to the Union, setting policy, defining goals, setting targets and evaluating performance

Safe guarding the good name and values of the Union

Ensuring effective and efficient administration of the Union

Ensuring the financial stability of the Union

Student trustees like Sabbatical officers run for a period of 1 year, and are elected in the RUSU elections, across campus. It is a voluntary role that you do along side your degree, and there are approximately 6 7 Trustee Board meeting a year.
