The Quality Assurance Agency carries out an Institutional Audit of Universities every few years, which is similar to an inspection. A key feature of the audit is to find out what it is like to be a student here, which comes in the form of a Student Written Submission, written by the Students' Union.

So that we were able to submit the most informed and accurate account of student views, we have ran an online survey asking for students attitudes and views on students experiences within their departments and course, ranging from their understanding of Plagiarism, to how well they feel they are representated. This survey recieved over 1,400 responses and follow up focus groups were facilitated to provide further research into the areas discussed within the survey.
