RAGS - Raising And Giving Society

RAGS is a group of students committed to raising money for a number of different world charities.

RAGS are a group set up by students that is committed to raising money for a variety of charities chosen yearly. This year the charities are The British Red Cross, Breast Cancer Care, The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths, Cecily's Fund, National Children's Homes and The Reading Single Homeless Project.

This group arrange a number of different events throughout the year to help them raise money.

Events to look forward to include:

LOST - You are bundled onto a coach, blindfolded and then driven up to 100 miles away from the university, your objective to find your way back for free.

Raids - These happen several times a term. Raids are where we hit towns (and not just Reading), and try to collect as much money as possible. We will supply you with t-shirts, buckets and anything else you could possibly need for the Raid to take place.
Occasionally Raiding for us will score you some union tickets, free club entry, a few drinks - who knows.

Abseiling

Skydiving

and much more.....

RAGS is an excellent way to get involved and meet new people. The experience that being a member of RAGS will give you is irreplaceable and should be embraced. If raising money for charities, generating new ideas and having fun is up your street then get involved with Reading RAGS.
