Afro-Caribbean Society

 

WHO WE ARE

A society of the Reading University Student Union created by students for students.

 

OUR AIMS

To provide a means for people of different backgrounds and ethnicities to unite, reflect, respect and celebrate cultures of African and Caribbean origin.

To promote understanding and respect for all cultures by providing a comfortable forum for people to air their views and create awareness on issues affecting those of people from African and Caribbean descent.

 

WHAT WE DO

Organise various events to create awareness

Organise events to basically have fun

During the year, we will be organising several fun parties, themed events, a trip to Thorpe park/Alton towers, a barbecue, cultural night, discussions, sports, trips to other schools and places, ice skating, paintballing, bowling and several other fun activities.

MEMBERSHIP

The society is open to everyone. Membership fee is £5 only.
