As many Poles are becoming Reading University students, due to Poland's incorporation into the European Union, we decided to create Polish Society within the Reading University Students' Union. We want our society to be a vibrant, socially and culturally active community.

Polish Society is open to all students from Poland, anyone who speaks Polish at any level, has Polish friends or family, anyone who is simply interested in Poland and Polish culture or anyone who just wants to meet new people and have great fun.

It is also a great opportunity for Polish students at Reading University to get to know other people from the school. The integration of Polish students at Reading University and other students sharing an interest in participating in our activities is the core thing in our society planning.

Our aims

Organising a range of events - film nights, pub crawls, music nights, Polish food and drink tasting, dinners and guest speaker events;

Supporting Polish students in University of Reading and other members of society (formal things, university organisation misunderstanding etc.).

Promote the University of Reading among Polish people in UK and in Poland as well, provide useful information about school, help in contacting University and other formal and informal facilities (e.g. Student Finance organisations).

Promote Polish culture, language, literature, art, music, customs, history and cuisine within the University.

Integration of Polish students at Reading University and other students interested in Poland and Polish culture.
