Fencing

Sponsored by KPMG logo

Fencing is a complex, challenging and fun sport open to all. Originally taught to duellists to prepare them for trials by combat it encourages the development of co-ordination, stamina and speed, as well as being an interesting and enjoyable way of getting exercise.

The Club is open to ANYONE of ANY ability- Past members include raw beginners through to members of Great Britain's Fencing Squad!

What Can I Expect?

An interesting and exciting sport. Coaching is provided to all beginners as a class, and for those with a desire to push themselves further individual lessons can be arranged.

Socially the club has several events in our calendar, ranging from trips to competitions like the London International Fencing Cup to nights out in Reading at the Union or around the Town.
