Riding

Welcome to the Reading University Riding Club. The Riding Club is a friendly and active club. We offer riding experiences for riders of all interests and abilities, as well as loads of social events. Our main activity is weekly riding lessons which take place on a Wednesday at Hall Place Equestrian Centre. Hall Place equestrian centre is a leading riding establishment in the south of England; approved by the British Horse Society and the Association of British Riding Schools, holding shows and events throughout the year.

We lift share to the centre and meet at the Athletics Pavilion on campus an hour before the ride is due to start. General lessons will be either flatwork or jumping, however we are aiming to make specific jumping and cross country lessons book-able according to demand. The end of each term is finished with a competition accessible to all members of all abilities.

Autumn term consists of a dressage competition and Spring term Show jumping. Mini Badminton is held at the end of the Summer term, providing a great way to finish the year. Throughout the term other competitions are held this includes show jumping and gymkhana games.

Lessons cost £22 which is payable at hall place, this is a considerable reduction to the £32 which Hall Place normally charges for a group lesson.
