As the Vice President of Student Activities it is my job to ensure that you get the most out of your university experience. The Union offers a wide range of activities and opportunities for you to learn new skills, meet new people and develop as an individual.
The university is very fortunate with the facilities they have and therefore is able to offer the students a wide range of sports clubs. Not only does the university offer traditional sports such as, Rugby, Football, Hockey and Netball, but you also have the opportunity to join more unusual clubs such as, Ultimate Frisbee, Snow Sports and American Football.
There are a large number of diverse societies available for you to get involved in. Societies provide students with the opportunity to meet new people with common interests. Whether it be a course related society, music, drama or drinking! During your time at Reading University you will have many opportunities to get involved in various volunteer groups. There is the student newspaper (Spark), the student radio station (Junction 11) and the RAGS society (Raise and Give), among others.
