Hey there, welcome to the University of Reading! I am Lynsey Burrows, your VP for Democracy and Campaigns.
Firstly, I just want to give you a big welcome. Make sure you come and say hi to me and the other sabbaticals (sabbs for short!) if you see us out and about!
Remember that we have been elected to work for you guys, and if you have some comments (or complaints!) about how we are doing our job, do tell us! My job involves ensuring that every student at the University has their say in what is going on.
We have got a Student Feedback Forum for your feedback on our work and to find out what we are up to. The Student Voice is where you can tell us what you want us to campaign on and finally, the Services and Entertainment Forum for all your comments on the bars, shops, entertainment etc...
I also help run all the campaigns, working closely with other sabbaticals. The big campaigns are chosen by you guys (Student Voice! Come along!) each term. Last year the sabbs worked on campaigns from removing the old and annoying library doors right through to demonstrating on top up fees with the NUS, to find out more about campaigns and Student Voice please visit www.rusu.co.uk/home/Campaigns
