Committee training

For sports, societies, liberation and representation groups

 

If you are the president or treasurer for one of the student activities or liberation and representation groups at RUSU, then you will need to attend one of the committee training sessions that are being held this term.

The training will cover what RUSU can do to help you run your sport, society or group, and what you need to do in order to run a successful group affiliated to RUSU.  We will explain how the finances are run, so that you know how your members' money is looked after, and how you can access it.

 

The training is compulsory for all presidents and treasurers, although if any of your other committee members would like to sign up too, they are more than welcome.

YES - even if you have been on a committee last year, you are still required to attend the training.  It is your only opportunity to sign up for freshers' fayre, and your budget requests will not be considered unless both presidents and treasurers have attended.

You can sign up at reception in the Hub, but do check that you are signing up for the correct session, because this year sports committee training is separate to societies, liberation and representation groups.  You don't want to attend the wrong one.
