In order to vote online in these elections you must first register on our website. Then you’re ready to go! In order to vote you must have registered on this website. If you have not already done this you can register now.
Online voting means you can be anywhere, anytime and still be able to vote. Voting opens on Monday 24th February at 10.00am and closes on Friday 28th February at 3.00pm.
Once you’ve registered on the RUSU website you can vote! RUSU uses the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system which provides the voter with much more choice and influence. The voter can allocate votes until they have No Further Preferences (NFP). If you really don't think any of the candidates should be elected you can vote for Re-open Nominations (RON)
Log in to www.rusu.co.uk (top right of the homepage)
Go to the ‘Elections 2014’ webpage and click on ‘Vote’
You will be asked to agree to the terms and conditions of the Election. If you do not you will not be able to vote
Select the position you wish to vote for from the list and you’ll be shown the names of the candidates standing
If a candidate has uploaded a manifesto you will be able to view this by clicking ‘Read Manifesto’ (the manifesto will open in a new window)
To vote, place a number next to each name indicating your order of preference (1 being your first preference and so on). You will also have the option to select ‘Re open nominations’ (RON) or to indicate ‘No Further Preferences’ (NFP) or leave it blank.
Click ‘Submit’. Finally you will need to confirm your choices for each position on the summary page.
The Election Results will be announced in 3sixty on 28th February from 7.30pm onwards.
