Student Activities

We run Ballroom and Latin dance classes on Mondays in Wessex Hall dining room, 7.00pm-8.00pm for Beginners and 8.00pm-9.00pm for Advanced!

We also have our Salsa lessons on Thursdays in Wessex Hall dining room, 7.00pm-8.00pm for Beginners and 8.00pm-9.00pm for Improvers. There may be times when the venue has to change, so please keep checking your emails and the facebook group for any updates.

Please come along and have a go, your first lesson is free!

In addition, we are running practice sessions on Wednesday afternoons in Wessex for paid members only, so you can socialise more with your fellow dancers and practice what you have learnt in the lessons:

Salsa 4.00pm - 5.00pm
Ballroom and Latin 5.00pm - 6.00pm.

PRICES
Practice sessions are free. Membership is £25 for the year, and that include both ballroom and salsa classes. With membership, it costs £3 for one session (beginners or advanced) or £4 for both. Without membership, one session is £5 and two is £6, so if you plan to come regularly it is definitely worth getting the membership!

Please note, we ask that you purchase their membership via this page due to the need for everyone to have Sports Fed. insurance.

ANNUAL FUND

During the summer of 2012 Reading University Dance Club were awarded a grant with the purpose of purchasing a new soundsystem and camcorder for the club, both for the lessons and any events. We are pleased to say that we now have this shiny new equipment, and are extremely grateful to the UoR Alumni for enabling us to do so.

The first fruits of this can be seen on our YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/user/Readingdanceclub), where you will find footage of members of the club performing at competitions, and in due course, shows as well. It is a great way for you to check out what we do!
