Be a Freshers’ Angel
Freshers’ Angels are enthusiastic and friendly student volunteers working to help new students to settle in, have fun, stay safe and enjoy all the opportunities of life at University in the first two weeks of term.
Throughout welcome week they act as information signposts and a support network for new students. Angels give directions, answer questions and point students who need help to the appropriate services and help students to settle in by providing encouragement and reassurance by sharing their own University experiences. There are three shift types; from helping students to move into halls, to providing signposting, tours and fair support during the day and supporting Union events by running H2O Stations and raising awareness for welfare campaigns.
You can apply to be either a Freshers’ Angel or a Team Leader. Team leaders will take on extra responsibility on shift, supervising angels and feeding back to RUSU Staff.
