Mature & Postgrad Student Common Room

Background:

Mature and postgraduate students can sometimes feel isolated whilst at University since they have less time or fewer opportunities to build lasting friendships. Because mature and postgraduate students do not often live in halls and sometimes have other family commitments there is a prevalent lack of community, and as a result social gatherings are less accessible to them.

Campaign Update:

After a successful winning Change It! campaign, RUSU lobbyi3e the University to provide a dedicated social space for both mature and postgraduate students. The room is now open and we hope it facilitates the building of important support networks and friendships for these students during their academic career at University of Reading.

The room is at the Calthorpe Room (JCR) on the second floor of the URS Building.
