Write to your MP today and ask them to support the Second Reading of the Blood Donor Equality Bill.
Why does the Blood Donor Equality Bill matter?
Tim Farron MP (leader of the Lib Dems in Parliament) has submitted a private members’ bill in to repeal the blood ban on men who have sex with men within a 12 month period, intravenous drug users, those recently back from countries identified as being risk in HIV/AIDS transmission areas (most of these being African countries) and commercial sex workers.
Its second reading is due on Friday the 13th May so we need your support to ensure members of the House of Parliament back this important piece of legislation.
