All of our social media posts have been prescheduled prior to closing for Easter. Someone will be monitoring the inbox from the 12th April 2021.

Events

If the governments roadmap does not go to plan, all tickets will be refunded on the basis that the event cannot go ahead due to coronavirus rules.

No, anyone who comes to our events must be over 18 and have valid ID. We sometimes do events for under 18’s but unless stated, all our events are strictly over 18 only.

No, unfortunately we need to see a valid and in-date holographic photo ID (driving license, passport or PASS Card) at point of entry. A photocopy is not enough.

Our club nights start at 10pm. Last entry is at 11:30pm, although we advise you to turn up earlier than this to avoid large queues.

We operate a zero-tolerance approach at RUSU. Anyone found under the influence of drugs or intoxicated will be refused entry or removed from the venue. We have a drugs detection dog on the door on club nights. If you are indicated twice by the drugs detection dog you will be refused entry. We also operate a breathalyser on the door so those showing signs of alcohol intoxication or excessive ‘pre-loading’ will also be refused entry.

Coronavirus

We have implemented table service so that you can remain seated throughout your visit except for entering/exiting the venue or using the toilets. All staff wear face masks or shields and all customers are required to do the same, unless medically exempt. Staff will be regularly cleaning any touchpoints, tables and toilets. All staff regularly wash their hands and maintain a clean and safe environment to prepare your order in.

We are only allowing groups of no more than 6 to sit together at a table as per government guidelines. If there are more than 6 of you, we will ask you sit over multiple tables.

Yes, everyone must wear a mask when moving around the venue unless you are medically exempt.

No, we are only offering table service through the Round App. All orders must be placed via Round and we advise that you order as a whole table to ensure quicker service. If you are unable to order through the app, a member of bar staff will come over to your table and take your order and payment at the table.

Tickets

All tickets are sold and advertised as non-refundable. If you would like to sell your ticket to a sold out event, you can do this through Twickets. Twickets resale only gets enabled if/when the event sells out. If the event does not sell out you cannot resell your ticket. We do not accept resold or transferred tickets unless done so through Twickets. Anyone found to be transferring or reselling tickets will be refused entry for the venue and if profiting from touting, banned from the venue.

They do not need to have a student card but they will need a guest ticket and a valid ID for proof of age. They will also need to arrive with you.

It is one visitor for every Campus card, unless they hold a valid student card from any other university, they will still need to buy guest tickets.

All our tickets are now sold online at Eventbrite – if you follow RUSU's page there, you will be first to know about all our events. Once you have bought a ticket, you will be emailed a barcode that you will need on entry to the venue. You can also download the Eventbrite app and keep up to date that way.

For some events, students can bring only ONE guest. The student will have to buy a ticket for their guest and one for themselves.

You will be asked to show your Totum or NUS card at point of entry, if you have forgotten it you will have to pay a £2 surcharge on the door (to make up the different to a standard student ticket price).

Totum/NUS – National Union of Students – provides a discount card for students only. It offers hundreds of discounts.
