Packing tips for what to bring with you to Reading University by the Student Union

It’s easy to over pack for university, so we hope this guide will help lighten the load. Generally speaking, rooms in Halls are not large and storage space, particularly in shared kitchens, can be sparse. It’s also worth trying to pack only what you can feasibly fit into a single car journey.

The key to avoiding packing too much is knowing what to expect when you arrive. Your Hall Arrivals Guide includes lots of details of what is included in your room and specific details for your room type such as the size of bedding required. The Arrivals Guides will be available on the University Welcome pages over the summer.
