Your Student Officers
Your five elected Student Officers work full-time at the Union for a year and listen to students' needs. They make sure you are provided with quality representation, opportunities, personal development as well as great services and facilities.
The Student Officers are held to account by students at Student Voice each term. The Student Officers are questioned on their progress and give students the opportunity to express their views.
Your Part-time Officers
RUSU has ten Part-time Officers that represent different liberation and underrepresented student groups. These groups may face discrimination or have issues that have not been met. The Part-time Officers campaign to improve the student experience.
In the past year, our Part-time Officers have done many great things such as raising awareness of the issues BME people face within education and employment, have run a photo competition highlighting the natural beauty of UoR campus, campaigned to abolish plastic straws within the Union, and have run a consent tea party.
This year our Part-time Officers will campaign to improve the accessibility of buildings, campaign for a RUSU Trans Students’ Officer and reduce the use of single use plastics on campus – to name just a few of their ideas!
You can get in touch with your Part-time Officers at any time; to campaign alongside them or get involved in their projects, or to ask questions. Find out more about Part-Time Officers on the RUSU website.
