COVID-19 Update 09/11/2021

You will probably now be aware of the new COVID-19 restrictions announced yesterday by the government. Since we are now so close to the end of term we hope these will have limited impact on how you're able to connect with RUSU for the rest of term.

What has changed?

  • From 10 December, face coverings will be required by law in most indoor settings.

  • From 13 December office workers who can work from home should do so.

  • From 15 December, certain venues and events will be required by law to check that all visitors aged 18 years or over are fully vaccinated, have proof of a negative test in the last 48 hours, or have an exemption.

What does this mean for RUSU?

From 13th December:

  • Reception will be open, as will the Knights Cafe and the other inside shops.

  • Mojos will be closed from 11th December to 10th January.

From w/c 20th December:

  • The RUSU building will be closed to students.

From 4th January:

  • Reception, the cafe and indoor shops will re-open.

  • Term starts on 10th January. We expect our welcome back Union night to be on 9th January.  We will let you know if there are any further updates via email, social media and the website.

You can also find all the latest updates from the University on their website.

Best wishes,

Team RUSU
