Freshers 2022 More Info Coming Soon

We cannot wait to welcome you to the University of Reading and your students’ union – RUSU for Freshers 2022!

Nearer the time, you'll be able to keep an eye on our website, and the University’s website, to stay up-to-date with what’s happening on campus during Freshers and beyond.

You’ll also find plenty of tips on settling in and making yourself at home here in Reading. We hope those early days, as well as being really fun, help you get really settled in. We’re your students’ union and we’re here to help you have the best time!

For now, until our full Freshers' page is up and running (it will go live on A-level results day!) here a few things we think are worth knowing in advance...

BE AWARE OF FAKE TICKETS

This year, we’re bringing you an amazing line-up of events for the University of Reading Freshers 2022!
All official Freshers’ events for the University of Reading will be available to view on this page and our website.

Every year, unofficial events and fake tickets appear on social media and third-party websites which are in no way affiliated with us. Please be cautious if you see Freshers’ 2022 events being promoted by external companies and venues – official events are only hosted by RUSU and the university.

The only place you can buy official tickets to RUSU events is through our website.

If you are still unsure, feel free to send an email to enquiries@rusu.co.uk to double check if it is a real event by a reputable venue or promoter.

MAKING READING FEEL LIKE HOME

RUSU Recommends – Your Cultural Guide to Reading – whether you are looking for a local place of worship, the best takeaway to remind you of home, or a hairdresser who knows how to look after you well, we hope this space will serve as a cultural guide for you to find community and connection here in Reading

STUDENT HALLS

Whilst student halls are operated by third parties, our RUSU Welcome team are a community-focused group who promote and organise social events and make your hall an inclusive community for all! They will be present to welcome you into halls (including helping to move you in!) and signposting you to any support services you may require. These representatives are students who have previously lived in halls and have been selected by RUSU.

There are Facebook groups below for the majority of the University of Reading's halls of residence. They're a great way to chat to future flat/housemates before you move in. We also have a Find a Housemate Facebook group for non-halls students. So, when you know which halls you're going to be in, check out the groups!
