2015 marked a breakthrough year in Stewart’s rowing career, and following selection to the Great Britain senior team Stewart became European silver medallist in the men’s eight and World bronze medallist in the men’s four. In 2016 Stewart was selected to race the pair at the Rio Olympics where he finished 4th.

Despite suffering major set-backs, Stewart is still training to achieve his Olympic dream in Tokyo. He has since also become a motivational speaker, dealing with themes such as bringing the best out of teammates and colleagues through turning weaknesses into strengths and dealing with uncertainty, and leadership.
