Relax with RUSU

This year Relax with RUSU is here with a daily calendar for you to follow. With the world not as we know it, the calendar has been created with staying at home in mind. It helps you to explore different themes to keep your mind busy with positivity and as productive as possible. We know relaxing at the moment isn’t easy, but this will give you some tips and activities to get you started.

Check out our Relax with RUSU calendar.

How does it work?

The first step is to download the calendar so you know what the challenge is each day. You can begin this on any day you want and go at your own pace, or you can join in with us. Each day we will be posting a suggestion for how you can do the day’s activity. It might be a video to watch, a recipe to make, or a virtual trip to Mojos to learn a new skill (think cocktails and cheese and wine)!

RUSU will start the calendar on the 27th April. To see our suggestions for each day, go to the RUSU Community Facebook group and search for #RelaxwithRUSU.

If you’re still struggling for ideas have a look in Issue 31 of the Reading Rep to get you started.

How to get involved

We would love to see what you are up to whilst following the calendar. Remember to share your activity each day by posting on social media using the hashtag #RelaxwithRUSU and tagging RUSU.

Maybe you could challenge your friends to join in with you? Share the calendar and tag them in it

Keep an eye out for competitions. These will come along every Monday and will have prizes such as a yoga mat, a food goody box or a magazine subscription – it’s definitely worth having a go! Each week’s competition will have a different theme, so make sure you look at the calendar to see what to focus on.

You can enter the competition in one of two ways:

  1. Commenting with your entry on the post of the day in the RUSU Community Facebook group.
  2. Following the instructions on the RUSU Instagram story (you might need to respond to a question or post a photo and tag us)

You won’t have long to enter – anything after 23:59 on the Monday will not be entered into the competition. Winners will then be selected by using a random name generator.

You must be a current student, with a valid student number, to enter. If you are a winner we will ask for it.

Winners will be contacted the following day to arrange getting your prizes to you!

Good luck!
