Representation & Diversity Awards
We want to award students who students believe have gone above and beyond expectations. We want to celebrate the fantastic achievements of students who have worked to bring about positive change for students; such as reps who have worked continually on your behalf to improve your student experience; or those students who have organised impactful events or events which have tackled inequality or celebrated diversity, or those which have campaigned to make improvements for students or on issues that affect students.
RUSU Representation & Diversity Awards recognise the achievements and progress made in the last year by individual reps, such as Part-time Officers, Academic Reps, NUS Delegates, Student Voice Members; as well students who have been involved in campaigns and causes; or students who have been involved in projects, such as One World Reading; or issue-based student campaigners or lobbyists who have made an impact on campus or in the local community, in the Union, the University or further afield.
Help us to recognise the amazing work of these students. This year we have four awards which we ask you, our members nominate students for. The awards are;
- Diversity Event of the Year
- Campaign of the Year
- Campaigner of the Year
- Award for Outstanding Contribution to Representation

Why not nominate a student today!
Don’t forget to nominate your Course Rep and School Rep for Course Rep and School Rep of the Year Awards along with University Staff who have gone that extra mile for an Excellence Award.

All winners will be presented with a trophy and certificate in front of students and university staff.
The awards will be presented as part of the RUSU Excellence Awards ceremony at the RUSU Partnership in Teaching & Learning Showcase at 12pm, Tuesday 24th April, Meadow Suite, University of Reading.
Winners will also be published online.
