LGBT+ History Month will be running throughout February.

Key Aims

  • Celebrate LGBT+ History and milestones within the gay rights movement.
  • Provide spaces for discussion.
  • Increase the awareness of STI testing services amongst LGBT+ students.

Come along to our first event ‘Pride is Political’ and get involved in discussion on the politics of pride.

‘Pride is Political’ – workshop delivered by Rob Noon (NUS LGBT+ Open Place Officer)

NUS LGBT+ Officer (open place) Rob Noon will be leading a talk on the current political landscape of UK Pride events, providing an alternative vision for transforming Pride beyond a corporate party and into an accessible protest and political celebration. All welcome, turn up on the day or sign up here to guarantee you place.

Becoming a UoR LGBT+ Ally: Information and Recruitment Session

Come along to a UoR recruitment event for our new LGBT+ Allies Programme, hosted by the RUSU Diversity Officer and the Dean for Diversity and Inclusion, and led by LGBT+ staff, students and allies. All students and staff welcome.
