RUSU Says Relax campaign 2018-19

RUSU Says Relax is our annual campaign with the aim of encouraging students to take a break from revision during the busy exams period and focus on their mental wellbeing.

Events

A range of events will be taking place during the Summer Term, including art therapy sessions, an animal petting zoo and cocktail making classes - there’s something for everyone! You can download the monthly calendars here or browse all events below.

Relaxation Room

Remember our relaxation room in 3sixty! You can book the relaxation room at RUSU Reception for your slot. It’s a great place to go for some time out or to use one of our relaxation chairs. Either come on your own or with a couple of friends.

Life Tools

The programme put on throughout the summer term can really help you get things under control. There are sessions on stress reduction, getting a good night’s sleep and techniques to increase memory.

Where to go for help

RUSU Advice Service

Based in the Students’ Union and offers free, confidential and independent advice on housing, finance and academic issues.

You can contact the Advice Service at 0118 378 4100 or advice@rusu.co.uk, or find out more on their webpage.

Student Welfare Team

A team of professionals, based in the Carrington Building, who are able to advise you on a wide range of personal and welfare issues that may impact your studies and day-to-day life. Drop-in Monday to Friday, 10:00 – 16:00 or arrange an appointment at studentwelfare@reading.ac.uk.

Counselling and Wellbeing

This service offers free, confidential and specialist support to all students. You can book appointments with a Counsellor or a Mental Health Adviser. Contact them at 0118 378 4216, 0118 378 4218 or counselling@reading.ac.uk.
