The problem I want to Change is:
That there is no funding available to support postgraduate students on work experience placements
This is a problem for students because:
Firstly, there is financial support for UG students so it is unfair that this is not extended to PG students. Secondly, many people return to PG education so that they can change career direction and need help to get relevant experience.
To change this, I think RUSU should:
Campaign to the university to expand the work experience funding so that it includes PG students - too many opportunities at UoR are only available to UG students and it isn't just.
This will help students because:
It helps PG students secure work experience positions and help their graduate employment prospects
