Student Officer Question Time

Every year Student Officers are elected by the student body to represent you.  To make sure the Union is led for students by students, it is vital Student Officers are representing students to the best of their ability. 

Student Officer Question Time is an opportunity to learn what the Student Officers are doing to represent you, and ask them any questions.

Every student is eligible to attend and can ask questions.  Please come along!

The next Student Officer Question Time

The next Student Officer Question Time meeting will take place on Tuesday 24th June from 3.00pm-5.00pm in the RUSU Thet Win Aung Boardroom. All are welcome to attend.

There will also be free refreshments available.

Students are invited to attend either the whole meeting, or just the scrutiny of the Officer(s) that they believe is applicable to them. You are welcome to enter and leave the meeting as you like.  There will also be free tea and coffee available.

If you would like to ask a question, but you are unable to attend please email your question to s.codling@reading.ac.uk . We will ensure that your question is answered in the meeting and recorded in the minutes.

What happens at Student Officer Question Time??

Student Officer Question Time is an informal meeting where any student is welcome to come and ask any question to the Student Officers.  Each Officer will be questioned for 15 minutes on what they have been doing.

There will be the opportunity to keep updated with all the information you need such as the meetings and events the Officers have attended, their future plans, what has been successful and conversely what has not been successful.

Attendees will be able to vote to accept or reject each Student Officer’s report based on the Officer’s performance since the last Student Officer Question.  The results of the vote will be noted and reported to RUSU Trustee Board.  Minutes will be taken at Student Officer Question which will also be submitted to the RUSU Trustee Board and posted online.
