‘Part-time Officer Scrutiny’

Your Part-time Officers are elected to represent you.  As your elected Officers it’s vital that your Part-time Officers represent your views effectively.  The Part-time Officer Scrutiny process is your opportunity to find out what each Officer is doing and ensure they are effectively making positive change on your behalf.

How ‘Part-time Officer Scrutiny’ works

Your Part-time Officers are subject to the same level of scrutiny as your Full-time Officers, but unlike the scrutiny process for Full-time Officers, the Part-time Officer process takes place online, making it even easier to hold your Officers to account.

Twice a term your Part-time Officers will submit a report online that details the progress they have made towards fulfilling their manifesto commitments.  These reports are then made available online for a period of 4-7 days, during which time any student can submit questions directly to the Part-time Officer.  Your questions alongside our Part-time Officer responses will then be shared with the Executive Committee and published online to ensure that Part-time Officers remain fully accountable to the students they are elected to represent.

The next Part-time Officer Scrutiny process will take place between Monday 28th October – Monday 4th November.

Remember, your Part-time Officers are accountable to you, don’t miss your opportunity to ask a question.
