About Me
Hi I’m Dylan, 21, and currently going into my second year of Animal
Science. I’ll be the LGBQ+ PTO for this year. I’m originally from
Jersey (the island one) and moved from there when I was younger. I
love sci-fi, gaming and collecting air force squadron patches from
around the world.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
Sir Ian McKellen. He has been pushing for LGBT+ rights since the 80’s
and has done wonderful things for the community. He has been in many
of my favourite films and doesn’t let age hold him back from doing
what he wants.
What do you hope to achieve during your term in office?
I want to work with the LGBT+ community across the campus to get their
views across on what can be done to make the university a more a more
inclusive area. I also want to raise awareness around specific issues
that affect members of the community as well as holding events to
celebrate and remember past successes that have changed the lives of
LGBT+ people for good.

Networks
RUSU have created student-run, peer-support networks for you. This is
your opportunity to meet other students from similar backgrounds,
share common experiences and receive advice and support from each
other. RUSU’s LGBQ+ Students’ Officer will be running a peer-support
network for LGBQ+ students. You can find out when and where the next
meeting is at the
Student Networks
page.
