About me

I’m a 20 year old girl, originally from Italy, where I lived for most of my life. I moved to Germany when I was 15 and lived there until I finished school, after that I moved here to Reading for university. My family is half Italian and half German of Jewish descent and I’m the third of 4 siblings.

Why I ran for the role

I think I have appropriate leadership skills, I have experience with public speaking and I am lucky to be charismatic and confident enough to engage with all sorts of people. I am also part of the LGBTQ+ community and I think I have enough experience both within and out of the community to represent for them in the university.

Fun facts about me

  1. I jumped on stage at an All Time Low concert and hugged the lead singer when I was 14, and there’s even a Youtube video of it.
  2. When I was 4 years old I asked Santa for a “moving pig” (aka a battery operated toy pig) but my family misunderstood it and because we spent Christmas at my grandma’s farm, they took me down to the barn and got me a real life pig instead.
  3. I’ve been playing the Harp since I was 6.

This is your opportunity to meet other students from similar backgrounds, share common experiences and receive advice and support from each other. RUSU’s LGBQ+ Students’ Officer will be running a peer-support network for LGBQ+ students. You can find out when and where the next meeting is at the Student Networks page.
