Postgraduate Faculty Rep

Main Purpose

To carry out effective academic representation at Faculty level, raise awareness of academic representation and to ensure the Postgraduate student voice is heard.  To attend University/Union meetings and to work on academic campaigns.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Attend Faculty Rep training and handover sessions.
  • Ensure Postgraduate students in your Faculty are aware of how to contact you directly and to communicate with students regularly about academic matters.
  • Represent Postgraduate students within your Faculty
  • Lead & support academic campaigns throughout the year.
  • Regularly liaise with RUSU Education Officer & Academic Reps Co-ordinator
  • Regularly liaise with the Postgraduate Course Reps in your Faculty & other Faculty Reps
  • Attend Faculty Board for Teaching & Learning (FBTL)
  • Attend either Senate or the Sub-committee on Employability & Development
  • Attend/Chair RUSU Course Rep consultations
