We're an elected group of 2nd and 3rd year students that represent the residents at St. George’s Hall. Our roles are to help you settle into university life, to help you with any welfare issues you may have and we also organise social events for you to go to throughout the year, including three huge events (Think boat parties down the Thames, massive formals and so much more!). Our main aim is to ensure that you are enjoying your time and making sure you have the best year in St. George’s Halls! St. George’s Hall JCR are 100% committed to you, and we have an excellent reputation. Previously we have won the “JCR of the Year” award 2015/16, the “Fundraiser of the Year” award 2015/16, the "Best Freshers Week" award 2016/17 and one of our commitee won the "Commitee member of the year" award 2016/17..
Moving into halls is such an exciting experience and we’ve got loads planned for you to ensure you feel welcome, make lots of new friends, and feel at home for the year. Events will be running all year round, but the most important time is Fresher's Fortnight (and chances are it's what you're looking forward to most). During Fresher’s Fortnight we have planned lots of nights out (including many themed nights!) and daytime events to get you involved no matter what you fancy, and all whilst knowing that there are experienced JCR members looking out for you every second to make sure you're safe, happy, and enjoying yourself! After that though, it doesn't stop. We organise all sorts of events throughout each term to get you guys mixing, and make sure that you're still having a great time on top of all the studying.

Also be sure to join the St. George's Hall Facebook group, and follow us on Twitter and Instagram so that you can be up-to-date with what's going on, and chat to us before you get here, and all through the year that you're with us at St. George's!
We know you are going to be full of questions, and most of our communication will be done on social media, so be sure to keep checking in!
