Welcome to the University of Reading's Phab page!
Phab is a national charity that is dedicated to the complete integration of people with disability into the wider community. We inspire people of all abilities to come together on equal terms and make more of life together.

What We Do
The UoR Phab project aims to host fundraising, awareness and community social events on campus as well as running campaigns on disability.
We host smaller fundraising and awareness events once every two weeks and are planning two major fundraising events, the Phab Revue (think “Reading’s Got Talent”) and a disabled sport event, next term. Our first campaign will be targeted at tackling stigma surrounding disability on campus and will also start next term.
We also work closely with local Phab clubs and currently volunteer at Phab Berkshire’s Saturday morning children session which run from 10am-1pm. These clubs encourage children and teenagers with disabilities to grow and express themselves in a stimulating and safe environment, as well as providing much needed respite to parents and carers.
As we grow as a society, we look to eventually hold our own weekly club on campus.
Want To Get Involved?
Volunteering with the project has so many benefits.
Volunteers can choose between volunteering with local Phab clubs or help with the organisation and running of on campus events and campaigns. Both are great ways to develop key skills and boost a CV, with all hours contributing to the RED award.
The weekly sessions with the Phab Berkshire club are fun, engaging and rewarding and provides experiences that no other society can provide. There is a strong sense of community with all Phab clubs and the social side of the University Phab project will be lively, proving to be a great way to get to know new people while doing something different and incredibly worthwhile.
We are also looking for committee roles of an Events Coordinator, a Campaign Coordinator and a Volunteering Coordinator. More information to come later.
