How would you like to directly help PACT’s work to build and strengthen families and the wider Reading community?
PACT is an established and highly-respected Reading based charity that specialises in finding forever families to adopt children in care as well as support vulnerable women and families in the heart of the local area.
We are passionate and proud of what we do and want to shout about it to reach and build even more families in Reading. In order to do that we need your help. On Wednesday 10th October PACT will be running a volunteering afternoon to promote our services in and around Reading and we’re looking for volunteers to work in teams for a few hours to put up postcards/posters/information sheets all over the town. You will need to have bags of enthusiasm, a sturdy pair of shoes and a love of cake.
In return for sharing a few hours with us your hours will: count towards your Red Award, you will meet new people, have a chance to get your step count up for the day (that counts as a sports afternoon, right?), gain an insight and some experience of a charity that is consistently awarded outstanding with Ofsted, have an opportunity to further orientate around Reading town and eat free cake at a thank you social at the end of the day where we can all pat ourselves on the back for a good job well done.
This day comes just before National Adoption Week which is 15th – 22nd October. If you can imagine helping PACT to create families then we’d love to hear from you.
We look forward to hearing from you,
