Rock Soc, or the Alternative Music Society, is a social society with a vibrant membership both on campus and in town. Our members share a mutual love for all things loud, be it classic rock, metal, goth, punk, industrial/EBM, grunge, pop punk etc! Whatever you're into, we know where's playing it, and we host a range of socials throughout the year on various alternative nights in town including our legendary freshers pub crawl, live music events, themed events, Halloween and Christmas parties as well as weekly attendance at Reading's best rock nights. We are also hoping to go bigger and better this year with another trip to the Underworld in Camden, meet ups with other rock socs from across the country, and maybe even a trip abroad or to a festival!

We don't just go out and listen to music, we're also trying to give our members a bigger chance to be involved in the music scene too, offering opportunities to submit creative content to our brand new termly Rock Soc Zine and also participate in our all-new Rock Soc Radio Show!3 star Rewards and Recognition Logo

We will always be a friendly face at nights out and gigs, so come and join us! We'll have a booth at the societies fayre on Wednesday 20th of September, make sure to come and say hello!

Join our Facebook group and keep up to date on all the latest events from the society and around Reading, or chat to any of our comittee
members if you want to know anything more \m/
