Domestic do it yourself society (RUDDIYS)
Reading University Domestic Do It Yourself Society
RUDDIYS is an award winning society that will provide you with the opportunity to make new friends and improve your knowledge of domestic arts and crafts. We hold weekly meetings every Tuesday from 7-8.30pm where we learn different domestic crafts from knitting, sewing and card making to making bunting and dreamcatchers.
In Summer Term we'll also be holding a knitting group every Tuesday 7-8.30pm!
Feel free to contact us and look us up on social media!
We are here to help make sure your experience at Reading University is enjoyable, exciting and to give you the opportunity to have a relaxing break from University studies.
All the materials for each of the sessions are provided and you take what you create away with you!
Membership is only £10 for the whole year, alternatively you can pay-as-you-come- only £2 per session!
Alongside our weekly meetings we also organise craft socials such as pottery painting and ice cream socials, as well as our big summer event at the end of the year (like cream tea on a barge).

WHAT WE HAVE BEEN UP TO IN PREVIOUS YEARS
Over 400 hats were donated by RUDDIYS after the 2018 Knitathon! Launchpad and the Buscot Ward were very grateful for all the hats for premature babies and the homeless.
