Reading university circus arts society (RUCAS) looks to involve a whole spectrum of circus orientated activities including juggling, poi, staff, diablo, hoop, contact manipulation & uni cycling. The majority of the activities add a real excitment factor to our society training and events. The society prides itself on developing talent and confidence through performing and support.
We welcome all interested members, with any skill level, and we have the equipment and expertise to cater for absolute beginners, up to advanced level.
The society holds 2 weekly practices where we get together to practise, play, teach and generally have a laugh.
All run in 3Sixty (RUSU)
RUCAS is a very social group and we also regularly host events with other societies, organise performances and run trips to circus conventions. Last year we performed in the RUTAM show and took part in various other charitable days and events. We also hold a number of LED and Fire nights.
We also attend conventions and watch circuses and other circus performers in shows, sometimes getting them to run workshops with us.
