Welcome to RUMARKS, Reading's only marketing society.
RUMARKS is led by an enthusiastic, and dynamic team which consist of students from all years and subjects, as well as masters students. Our aim is to build contacts and networks that we can utilise during our placement years and later in life once we graduate, as well as providing employment tips, advice and holding professional talks from outside third parties. We aim to do all this whilst holding some great socials to connect like-mined peers.
What if I'm not on a Marketing course?
Who cares! So long as you understand and appreciate the benefit of being a RUMARKS member, we're happy to have you join us! We believe that absolutely everyone can benefit from building their contact book through networking - and this is something we hope to help you do.
In the world of business, contacts still matter. Whether we like it or not it's helpful to connect with people with similar interests and career aspirations as yourself - and what better time to do this than whilst you're at one of the best universities surrounded by the future Richard Bransons and Bill Gates?
We aim to hold two significant annual academic events to help you bolster your employability skills through things like CV tips, LinkedIn training, placement talks and volunteerting advice. Check out our upcoming events below:
