Sign Language

We aim to promote the use and knowledge of sign language as a means of communication with deaf people and for the general awareness of the deaf community. Our integrated activities strive to be educational and fun for all.

We believe that sign language should be more accessible for those who want to learn it and therefore we aim to teach basic sign language through our lessons and activites. Even though there is an extra charge for the lessons on top of the membership, its only £12 per term (6 x 1 hour lessons)!!  We hope to educate and bring equality to Deaf and hearing people, and raise awareness of sign language.  Its also a good communication skill to learn and not one many people can say they have.

Through informal learning and fun social events; our members will enjoy a fun environment to learn a new language, improve their awareness skills and meet new people.

You don't have to know sign language to join in, just be willing to have a laugh and give it a go.
