Welcome to ENACTUS Reading!

Enactus is an international organization that connects student, academic and business leaders through entrepreneurial-based projects that empower people to transform opportunities into real, sustainable progress for themselves and their communities.

Enactus Worldwide

  • It is involved in 36 countries;

  • Operates within over 1700 universities;

  • Has over 70,500 students involved as members;

  • Has impacted over 1,950,000 people.

Enactus Reading

  • Enactus Reading is a student run social enterprise and an affiliated society of the Reading University Student's Union.

  • The team are currently undertaking 5 projects- 1 local project, 3 international projects and 1 commercial fundraising project.

  • The principal objective of Enactus Reading is to provide a channel whereby students can gain experience working in a business environment, while at the same time improving the quality of life and standard of living for communities and individuals in need.

  • Enactus projects set University of Reading students apart from their peers, by teaching them (through their experiences), the relevant skills to make them more employable in the future.

  • Enactus UK has a variety of sponsor companies, including: Barclays, Amazon, Enterprise, EY, Tesco, Unilever and Accenture. See the full list here: http://enactusuk.org/our-sponsors

  • Our sponsor companies have an application to hire ratio for Enactus UK students of between 45%-85%

  • Enactus students are more desirable to companies as they have gained skills that those who didn't join Enactus missed out on.
