A relaxed, fun and friendly running club which caters for any ability. We hold 4 sessions a week for various training and in addition, we regularly meet for socials and nights out.
We strive to encourage and support as many people to take up or continue running and maintain fitness, from experienced runners to novices. We participate in both cross country, track and road running competitions during the academic terms. A lot of people make the Reading Half Marathon their personal goal as we gradually increase in fitness and confidence throughout the year.
We offer a whole range of training including track and field, with a particular focus on long and short distance running. The club runs training sessions 4 times a week whether it is an easy road run to a tough track session and circuit training. Our coach Gordon is a guru for all of your training needs and can organise personal training programmes so you can reach your potential! As well as training we have close ties with local athletics clubs and shops as well as having regular social events.
We have two strands of membership this year. The normal membership is £35, however the non-student membership comes to £50. This will give you free access to circuit training and two casual runs a week as well as, of course, being able to get involved with the socials! Please email the club if you have any more questions over memberships and we can explain all the finer details.
