Welcome to Reading University Mixed Hockey
We are a club that aims to include everyone and spread our enjoyment of hockey.
Your first few training sessions will be FREE so you can try out the club. Our first session will be announced sooner to the time on our FB page - come and give it a go!
Training is on Reading University astro-turf pitch
18:00 - 19:00 on Wednesdays &
19:30 - 21:00 on Fridays
Facebook Group: https://www.facebook.com/RUMXH/?
We welcome whatever skill level and will cater to your needs to make sure you get the most from hockey and the club. Everyone has the chance to play in matches and we encourage beginners to get involved in the sport and hopefully help you to improve your hockey.
We go to a hockey tournament in Warwick every year and as a fun loving club we have plenty of socials throughout the year, as well as trips to Park Bar after training. These are great for building friendships both inside and outside of the club, so come and get involved!
Many of our alumni, or graduated members, also stay in touch and we organise games with them periodically. This gives the newer members of the club the chance to experience its history and swap stories, expanding on its legacy.
Traditionally we go on summer hockey tours, usually this consists of camping in England next to hockey pitches and playing a full weekend of hockey against other universities and clubs. We have also occasionally organised a tour abroad with huge success.
We train twice a week so come down, whatever year, whatever level, meet a great bunch of people up for a laugh and enjoy some hockey.
If you are thinking of joining the club but would like more information please don't hesitate to drop one of the committee members a message with any questions, or follow the link to the Mixed Hockey 2018/19 Facebook page. Please also come and chat with us at the Freshers Fair.
