*** PRESEASON FOR RETURNERS AND PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS ***
RULAX Preseason will run from the 17th September - 23rd of September, compulsory for all returning members of the team. We are an incredibly social and welcoming club, accomodation for freshers will be provided so if you are a prosepective student and would like to enquire about preseason, please email the club at firstname.lastname@example.org and more details will be provided about specific dates, locations and times. We will have 3 training sessions running from 1pm - 4pm each day, on the 17th, 18th, 19th of September, and at the end of the week we will be engaging in friendlies with multiple universities.
The University of Reading Lacrosse Club, winners of CLUB OF THE YEAR 2017/18, commonly referred to as RULAX boasts 4 competitive teams and a development squad for men and women:
- Womens 1st Team (Competing in BUCS South Eastern 1A)
- Womens 2nd Team (Competing in BUCS South Eastern 3A)
- Mens 1st Team (Competing in BUCS South Eastern 2B)
- Mixed 1st Team (Competing in ELA South Division)
There are multiple training sessions every week for the lacrosse club, and fixtures:
Mondays: Women's 2nd & Mixed 1st @ St. Joseph's College AstroTurf, 5:00pm - 7:00pm.
Tuesday: Men's 1st & Women's 1st @ John Madjeski Academy 3G AstroTurf, 7:30pm - 9:30pm (transport provided).
Wednesday: BUCS Games for Men's 1st, and Women's 1st & 2nd
Fridays: All Team Training @ Reading University SportsPark Hockey AstroTurf, 6:00pm - 7:30pm.
Sundays: ELA East Division Games for Mixed 1st.
Membership to Reading University Lacrosse Club also grants membership to the town club: Reading Wildcats. This is an excellent opportunity to improve your game with some of the top players in the country. Their website can be found here: http://www.readinglacrosse.co.uk/
It doesn't matter if you're a seasoned player, or you have no experience at all; we will be keen to take you on and there will be plenty of opportunities within the club to learn and compete! It is the perfect sport for those wanting to try something new at university. We have many members who join in 2nd and 3rd year of university so come and give it a go! We welcome new members throughout the year, just turn up to one of our training sessions!

Men's 1st Team
2010/11 - The Reading University Knights Mens Lacrosse 1st team entered the BUCS league to finish 2nd in their section and be promoted for the 2011/12 season.
2011/12 - The mens 1st team furthered their success once again achieving 2nd place in the higher league.
2012/13 - The mens 1st team won overall in the South Eastern 1A League.
2013/14 - The mens 1st team again won their league, allowing them to compete in the following season as the best team in the South Eastern 1A League.
2014/15 - The mens 1st team experienced greater challenge and unfortunately their winning streak was halted. The team maintains every hope that they will rise to the challenge and succeed in the South Eastern 2A League next season.
2015/16 - The mens 1st team steamed their way through the South Eastern Conference Cup but after much battling they finished runners up. They also came a respectable third overall in the South Eastern 2B league.
2016/17 - The mens 1st team continued their fierce performance and managed to finish 2nd in the South Eastern 2B league.
2017/18 - Building on the previous seasons & league success, the men catapulted their way to the finals of the South Eastern Conference Cup after historically beating Brighton in the semi-finals. However, they narrowly missed out on gold being beaten by Sussex in the cup final. They hope to capitalise on this and are going for gold in the 18/19 period.

Women's 1st Team
2011/12 - The Reading University Womens Lacrosse 1st Team entered the BUCS league finishing top in their section and winning the cup final to be awarded BUCS gold medals and promoted for the 2012/13 season.
2012/2013 - The womens 1st team saw some tough competition in a strong league and despite a great effort they were demoted to the South Eastern 2A League.
2013/2014 - The Womens 1st team improved significantly and finished in a respectable position within their league.
2014/15 - The womens 1st team won overall, and gained promotion to the South Eastern 1A League. The team expects a challenging season ahead, competing against only the best.
2015/16 - The womens 1st team faced tough opposition but through consistent performances managed to hold on to their position in the South Eastern 1A League.
2016/17 - The womens 1st team again faced hugely challenging teams. Unfortunately this time they moved leagues to South Eastern 2B.
2017/18 - With a fire in their hearts, the women's 1st team dominated their league entirely finishing up with a goal difference of 109 & a promotion to South Eastern 1A. They also followed the same path as the men, making it all the way to the cup finals against Royal Holloway, but missing out on gold by a fraustrating singular goal. With their promotion and newly recruited talent they hope to dominate this coming season.

Of course playing lacrosse is only part of being a member of the Lacrosse club. We have regular team and club socials, and go on tour every Easter to lovely Croatia. Reading University Lacrosse Club prides itself on being welcoming, fun, and everyone knowing eachother.
Both the men and women usually conclude their friday training sessions at Park Bar, and go out every wednesday together to our SU. You're bound to make new friends and have a good time if you come along. Join our facebook group so you never miss out!
